Real eye-catchers: the partners of the BMW M2 Cup

The long-awaited premiere is getting closer and closer: on 20 May, the BMW M2 Cup starts its new season with the first practice session as part of the DTM race weekend. At the Lausitzring, the BMW M2 CS Racing will again take to the track in its popular designs. The eye-catching cars in the colours of Endless and Randstad are part of the fleet again, and Boge and H&R will also be represented in the one-make trophy in 2022.

“We are very happy to be able to rely on even more strong brands,” says series manager Jörg Michaelis. “It is a unique feature of the cup that companies can brand an entire car with their corporate design. This not only dresses up the starting field, our network in the one-make trophy also benefits from the presence of well-known partners. In addition, the DTM offers a strong platform. Therefore, the interest in the cup is high and we are looking forward to presenting more partners shortly.”

Randstad was already a partner of the BMW M2 Cup in the 2021 debut season. In an all-black look with coloured accents, the BMW M2 CS Racing was a real eye-catcher on the track. In 2022, a racing car in the design of the human resource service provider will be on the grid again. Endless is also extending its cooperation in the series and is represented on one race car. Boge is new to the championship and will brand one BMW M2 CS Racing in the colours of the manufacturer of industrial compressors and compressed air systems. As in the previous year, series partner and suspension specialist H&R will also be represented on the vehicles with its logo.

Goodyear and BTR Transportlogistik GmbH are also remaining loyal to the one-make trophy. As in the previous year, the tyre manufacturer will exclusively equip the BMW M2 CS Racing with racing tyres – thus contributing its years of experience in motorsport. When it comes to logistics, the cup continues to place its trust in Bruno Boes and his BTR team, who, as experts in event logistics, are up to the challenges of racing in the best possible way.

“As a support series of the DTM, the Cup again offers a strong marketing platform for drivers and partners this year. The Trophy and GT3 teams are also represented there – this also underscores the great importance of the championship for BMW M,” explains Franciscus van Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH.

Additionally, 2022 is a special season for the Bavarian manufacturer: it is celebrating 50 years of BMW M. To honour this milestone, the anniversary is commemorated on the BMW M2 CS Racing in the one-make cup. “Of course, being part of the rich history of BMW M makes us very proud,” explains Michaelis. “It quickly became clear to us that we should celebrate accordingly during the season. We are all the more looking forward to the season opener and the BMW home round at the Norisring.”

The Cup’s BMW M2 CS Racing will also be back at the legendary Nürburgring – and not just as part of the DTM support programme. In the run-up to the 24-hour race at the end of May, the cars will be driven by BMW racing legends in the “BMW M Race of Legends” on the Grand Prix circuit.
