Getting a taste of the BMW M2 Cup: the Experience Days

Supporting young racing drivers on their career path – that is one of the goals of the BMW M2 Cup. In the second season, too, transparency, equal opportunities and comprehensive training for the participants are the focus of the one-make trophy. Before the first race weekend in May, drivers get their first taste of the cup’s race car and the championship’s organisation at the Experience Days.

On 11 and 12 February, the first Experience Days of the BMW M2 Cup took place on the test track of the ATP Papenburg. During these two days, drivers interested in the cup were able to do their first laps in the BMW M2 CS Racing and get to know the organisation of the championship.

“With the Experience Days, we want to give the drivers the opportunity to get a taste of the series before the start of the season, so everyone involved knows what to expect in the BMW M2 Cup,” explains series manager Jörg Michaelis. “In Papenburg, many young talents were able to get their first impressions of the car and how we work. And it was very successful: we got back a lot of positive feedback from the drivers and look forward to seeing some of them on the grid this year.”

Further Experience Days in Papenburg are scheduled – two of them in February. Interested pilots also have the opportunity to take part on additional dates.
